Sten Linnarsson gave a talk at the WWNDev Forum. They extensively use Tangram to map the developmental mouse brain: they praise the method a lot and even develop their own extension.

The Tangram part starts at minute 43.  Stann says "I have been blown away by the unreasonable effectiveness of Tangram!".
