Pitch a Game You Can Actually Show | Assignment 8
Make a short game pitch that shows what exists and clearly identifies what you still propose to build.
Make a short game pitch that shows what exists and clearly identifies what you still propose to build.
This instructor pitch uses Walker Claude and Signal Garden to answer seven project questions with a bounded one-room proposal. Real game footage supports current capabilities; the final package remains proposed. The pitch is about three minutes and seventeen seconds. It is not a claim that the final project has been implemented.

Introduction
[0:00] CSYE7270 assignment walkthroughs, pitch an inspectable game, make a bounded promise, show what exists, and name the evidence. Hello, this is Liam in for Bear. For CSYE7270, a pitch is a defensible proposal. Our instructor example is Signal Garden, one room of visible action and inspectable evidence. We separate existing work from the finished artifact being proposed. Prerequisite terms: artifact, what the reviewer will open; scope, what the proposal includes; evidence, what supports a claim.
Make A Concrete Promise
[0:33] Signal Garden will be a one-room technical art demonstration with source, editable resources, and a small desktop build. A reviewer will trace a visible response to source and checks. That is the value beyond a highlight reel. Walker Jumpman is the starter used here. The proposal adds a compact three-dimensional signal loop and explicit verification tools. A technical art reviewer will launch, reach the pad, signal past the gate, and reset. V exposes the diagnostic observer.
Bound The Claim
[1:04] The implementation supports source to state to render claims. It does not establish personal mastery or human play feel. One room and one signal action are in. Multiplayer and a campaign are out. The core loop already runs. A 4K export header hit a smaller viewport. The remedy checks the explicit native viewport's image size on every frame. Bear requested coherent worked course examples. That purpose is known. His personal new versus existing skills are not recorded, so we do not invent them.
Show What Exists
[1:36] This is the existing room and signal action captured with scripted physical inputs. The standalone desktop package is still proposed. Scenes, resources, tests, and native frames exist. A reviewer-facing export and actual human usability review will be future work. The installed engine reports Godot 4.17.2. We use GDScript in compatibility. Desktop Mac OS is proposed. AI implemented and drafted this instructor example under Bear's direction. Keep asset provenance, scripted capture labels, and unmeasured human judgments explicit.
Hand Off The Same Proposal
[2:12] Use the free brutalist workflow. Keep the brief, script, beat sheet, evidence, and film together in the pitch folder. Students submit matching pitch folders and a source ZIP with the exact version and accessible film. This instructor task has not posted to Canvas. 40 points cover stated criteria. 10 are comparative. Meeting the fixed requirements does not guarantee the comparative points. Answer all seven questions. Watch the course AI policy and explain your evidence. Attractive production cannot repair an unsupported claim.
Closing
[2:47] Let's recap with Claude. Make a concrete promise for a particular reviewer. Bound scope, proof, risk, and motivation. Show real work and label proposals. Hand off matching source, evidence, and film. Read my pitch brief and actual game evidence. Check its artifact, value, reader, proof, scope, risk, and motivation. Separate exists from will. Flag any unsupported personal or technical claim before helping me revise the pitch. Pitch an inspectable game at Nick Bear Brown.
